I’ve been caring for women since 2002 as an NHS midwife, and over the past 20+ years, I’ve gained a deep understanding of women’s health, confidence, and wellbeing. My work on the labour ward has taught me that every woman deserves to feel empowered, listened to, and cared for at every stage of her journey not just during pregnancy and birth.

Known as The Aesthetic Midwife, I’m passionate about helping women feel like the very best version of themselves. Over the last few years, I’ve specialised in the treatment of intimate area rejuvenation and repair, supporting women in restoring comfort, improving confidence, and feeling in tune with their bodies again. It’s about so much more than appearance. It’s about giving women back their freedom, trust, and joy.

I’m proud to be a licensed provider of the O-Shot®, an innovative treatment designed to enhance female intimate wellness and pleasure. With my blend of clinical expertise and a genuinely compassionate, woman-centred approach, I create a safe, welcoming space where you can feel at ease and supported throughout your treatment.

What exactly is the O-Shot®?

The O-Shot® is a non-surgical, in-clinic treatment that uses your own Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to gently stimulate repair in the clitoral and vaginal tissues. PRP contains growth factors that support circulation, tissue quality, and sensitivity without hormones or surgery.

Visit length: Less than an hour. Downtime: none for most women.

Who is it for?

Many women in midlife choose the O-Shot® to feel more comfortable and confident again especially after childbirth or around menopause.

  • Common goals: more natural arousal, less dryness or pain with intimacy, stronger orgasms.
  • Daily comfort: some choose it to help with light bladder leakage when coughing or exercising (stress incontinence).
What problems can it help with?
  • Low desire or arousal (feeling “switched off”)
  • Difficulty reaching orgasm or decreased intensity
  • Vaginal dryness and painful intercourse (dyspareunia)
  • Stress urinary incontinence (leakage with cough/sneeze/exercise)

How does it work?

PRP is rich in natural growth factors. When placed in precise areas, it can encourage new blood vessel formation, support collagen and tissue renewal, and improve nerve responsiveness. Over weeks, many women notice more comfort and a more natural sexual response.

What is the appointment like? Will it hurt?
  1. Draw: a small blood sample from your arm.
  2. Prepare: spin the tube to concentrate PRP.
  3. Numb: a strong topical cream keeps you comfortable.
  4. Place PRP: gentle, targeted injections to clitoral and vaginal tissues.

Comfort: most describe mild pressure or a quick pinch; the numbing cream helps a lot.

What happens after? Any downtime or aftercare?

No downtime: you can return to work, exercise, and intimacy the same day (follow your provider’s guidance).

  • Normal: light swelling or tenderness for a day or two.
  • Care tips: stay hydrated; avoid new irritants (harsh soaps) for 24 hours.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
  • Early changes: 2–3 weeks for some women.
  • Best results: around 3 months as tissues respond.
  • Longevity: commonly 12–18 months; boosters are optional based on goals.
Is the O-Shot® safe?

Yes! PRP comes from your own blood, so allergy risk is very low. The most common effects are temporary (minor swelling, tenderness, or small bruising at injection sites). Choosing an experienced provider such as The Aesthetic Midwife Monica, is key to comfort and outcomes.

Who should avoid it?

Not ideal if you’re pregnant, have an active infection, certain blood/platelet disorders, or uncontrolled medical conditions. Blood thinners may affect eligibility. We’ll review your history during consultation.

Can it help bladder leakage?

Often, yes for stress urinary incontinence. Many women notice fewer leaks with cough or exercise as tissue support and circulation improve. Pelvic floor therapy or other treatments can be combined for added benefit.

Can it be combined with other options?

Frequently combined: pelvic floor physical therapy, vaginal laser or radiofrequency treatments, and personalized hormone therapy when appropriate. The Aesthetic Midwife Monica can map out a step-wise plan based on your symptoms and goals.

How many sessions will I need?

Most start with one session but ideally 2 sessions will ensure optimal responses.

What about cost?

Pricing is simple with one session at £850 or two sessions for £1500. A single session may be all that they need, and boosters are always an option if desired. We will discuss everything thoroughly at your consultation, so you feel entirely comfortable with your decision.
